The aroma of coffee, rich and dark, filled the air. Michael, still in his bathrobe, sat on the porch swing, watching the sunrise paint the sky with vibrant hues. The expansive garden, which had been the main selling point of the property, beckoned him. The gentle breeze played with the leaves of the ancient trees.

He decided to check the old wine cellar, a space he had so far neglected. It was cool and damp. He ran his hand across the rough stone walls, feeling the cool seep through his skin. Then, his fingers stumbled upon a small, hidden latch. He pulled. A door, previously unseen, creaked open.
